Toobaloo


Dear Parents, 
One of the best ways to improve pronounciation is to listen to your own oral reading.  A toobaloo is a very simple teaching device that allows the student to read and listen carefully to her own reading.  Look at these homemade toobaloos in action...


All you need to build one is pvc pipes, that you can get for less than $1.000 at any  DIY ("do it yourself") store.

Reading Comprehension Test

Dear Parents and girls,

We will be having an English  reading comprehension test this Thursday 19.  The girls have to know the following vocabulary:

They will also be evaluated in the reading skills that we have worked on during the last month.  They need to know how to identify the main idea and the details of a text, how to retell a text by using sequencing words (first, then, next, finally), and use the technique of "skip the word and come back" when they come across a word that they don´t know.
